Vibratory grinding (also known as vibratory finishing or barrel polishing) is a mechanical surface finishing process where workpieces – for example cast parts – are placed together with abrasive media made of plastic or ceramic and usually a liquid into a rotating or vibrating drum. The goal is to remove burrs at parting lines and to improve or smooth the surface.
